Amethyst seemed to enjoy matching Katherine’s pace.

The duo of ghost-type and the specialist who trained the pokemon treaded route 121 with the expectation of finding wild pokemon, but not just any. If the gym leader had to guess, she’d be finding more of those feral, poisoned pokemon that have been affected by the invasion of the Megalopolans and the UBs they’ve brought along.

“Amethyst, don’t come into contact with the poisoned ones, alright?”

The light that shined through the diamond eyes of the pokemon grew slightly brighter, as if searching for something - or someone - that might surprise them.

Unfortunately, Katherine already happened to train a Shedinja. A second one wasn't necessary, so Sableye is merely instructed to turn away from the fellow ghost-type and avert her attention elsewhere.

The light provided by the ghoul of a pokemon was sufficient, of course, but the night shrouded them with its cold. It forces the woman to send out her Salazzle, who emerges with a lick of flames at her feet. The CORROSION spills from the pokemon, infecting the air with its toxicity by just appearing here.

”It’s a bit cold,” The gym leader excuses. “You don’t mind staying, do you?”

The lack of response is telling.

Fire clung to the breath of the poisonous lizard, contaminating the cold air with its warmth. Slowly but surely, the cold was made more bearable as the fire spread near them.

The strong flames of Salazzle even drew a Litwick out of their hiding place, which used it to its advantage and fueled its own fire. The ghost is regarded with a brief stare, but nothing more. Katherine had no desire to take it back home with her, after all.

A rustling of leaves makes Salazzle turn her head around, searching for the source of it.

Albeit, the culprit who caused the noise isn’t found, which isn’t all too surprising, considering this place. After all, ghosts were known for their trickery and naughtiness. It leaves less impact on the gym leader, who’s quite used to these antics.

“Come on, let’s keep going.”

Their pace is brisk and careful, with the gym leader never once rushing to get ahead of her salamander.

Fortunately, such pace ensures that they're both kept out of harm's way when a colossus titan emerges, rising from the ground as if it were waiting for their arrival. If Katherine didn't know any better, she'd have assumed that it knew that they were coming.

"Cinder," Just her tone is enough to incite a flame and spark animosity between the Salazzle to the Golurk, "Take it down."

And she does.

A thorough beating of her FIRE LASHES whip the Golurk into form until it succumbs to Cinder's reign of fire and falls to its knees. A capsule is then used in order to capture it.
